ADULT/OPEN FAMILY SWIM

 The Ludlow Community Center/Randall Boys & Girls Club is offering the use of our pool without a membership.  Come enjoy the beautiful six lane, twenty-five yard swimming pool with warm but refreshing water, well supervised, safe and friendly atmosphere.  The costs are as follows: $5 for ages 18 and over; $3 for under 18.  Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area.   Children in diapers must wear swim diapers, plastic pants and a bathing suit.  For more information about Open Swim times or other programs, please call the Ludlow Community Center at 413-583-2072.

POOL PARTIES

Party Policies & Information:
           

  • The party is scheduled for 2 hours - the first hour in the pool, the second hour in the party room/gameroom.

  • Parties are for groups of up to 20 children. Parents of the children may stay with the group, but will not be counted in the 20 guests. For over 20 children, there will be an extra $2 charge per child. Parents and children must stay with the party at all times.

  • Only 20 people will be able to swim in the hour provided, and each swimmer must be 5 years or older. There will be no exceptions to this rule - it is for everyone's safety. Flotation devices will be provided for children who need them.

  • All children must take a mandatory swim test - please allow 15 minutes (per group) for the process to be completed.

  • All food and drink must be consumed in the party room. No food or drink is allowed in the gameroom at any time. The party must provide their own food, drink, and party supplies, and will be responsible for the clean-up. Trash bins will be provided by the Club. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.

  • Parents are allowed to come early to set up for the party. Please check in at the Membership desk.

  • Party booking must be done in person, and full payment is due at this time.

    Days & Times:       Saturdays: 1 - 3 PM
                                       Sundays: 12 - 2 PM

American Red Cross
Lifeguard Training Course

 
Waterfront Lifeguard Training course with CPR and First Aid

                                 WHEN: Mondays & Thursdays, March 1st - April 15th
                                             5 - 7:30pm

                                 COST$250 per person (includes all class materials)

This course offers information on how to guard, anticipate and prevent problems, and take action to help those in need. 
It also covers safety and survival skills every swimmer needs to know – accident prevention, emergency rescue skills, weather and open water dangers, and pool management.  Candidates will need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and
sweatshirt (goggles are optional).  Participants must be age 15 years or older, be able to swim 300 yards continuously
using the breast and front crawl strokes in various combinations; must attend all classes to take the final written exam
and water testing.

 

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS


Starting January 11th, 2010
Monday & Thursday Evenings
6:30-7pm or  7-7:30pm


A private lesson consists of one-on-one with an experienced instructor, and is taught
according to Red Cross Standards.

Official Credit Policy
Credits will only be given if registration is cancelled at least 5 business days prior to the start of the program/event.  No credits will be given for classes missed when registered for a session.  If the Ludlow Boys & Girls Club cancels a program due to low registration or inclement weather, a refund will be given to those registered.
